What to Expect After You Apply
- After an application has been successfully submitted, each student is assigned a unique system-generated Student ID number. This number is mailed to the student or can be requested (with a picture ID) from the Admissions, Registration and Records Office.
How long will it take to get my acceptance materials and I-20 form?
- After you have met all of the admission requirements, HCC will send you a Welcome Letter and a Form I-20, usually within 10 business days. Non-immigrant students may apply for a visa at the nearest United States Embassy or Consulate in their country of residence up to 120 days prior to the program start date on their Form I-20. Transfer students will be issued an I-20 form after HCC receives their SEVIS (Student Exchange and Visitor Information System) record from their current school.
